The three-year (2024-2026) community-designed initiative through Gladstone Region engaging in action Together (GRT) aims to deliver sector-identified priority training needs as a mitigation for skills shortages impacting our human service sector and to grow equitable service access for community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work collectively, to support workforce and sector development, to improve early supports and opportunities for

Gladstone Region Childhood Builders Practitioner Wellbeing
(Part 2)
Friday 5 December 2025
The Gladstone Region Childhood Builders series continues to support the wellbeing of children through a range of activities grounded in neuro-informed, strengths-based, child-centred, and trauma-informed practices. This integrated program focuses on the practical application of these frameworks and tools in professional settings.
We are pleased to share that Practitioner Wellbeing training is being offered again this year - redesigned in response to participant feedback. A key enhancement is the restructure to allow for a full-day workshop on Practitioner Wellbeing, facilitated by Sheryl Batchelor. Join the 2025 cohort for this one-day session, available to you for $166. If cost presents a challenge, please don’t hesitate to reach out - your ability to participate is important to us. Places are limited, so early expressions of interest are encouraged.
Participants will deepen their understanding of brain health and development, including the impact of stress and trauma. The workshop will explore how physical, psychological, and social wellbeing shape brain function and capacity; while celebrating the vital role of frontline practitioners and the incredible work they do every day.
Key Outcomes:
-
Gain insight into your own brain and its role in wellbeing
-
Understand what “brain health and skills” means for children and young people
-
Apply brain health knowledge to enhance personal wellbeing and productivity
It is not a pre-requisite to have completed Childhood Builders Part 1 in order to register for Part 2.
