Contributors will present updates on the collaborative work they are leading to create positive futures for our children by:
growing our local service sector capacity to enhance quality and timeliness of supports for our families and children
mitigating regional skill shortages impacting our local community supports
ensuring lived-experience and the stories of local people inform the effective design of programs and supports
exploring opportunities to increase timely access to child assessments and early supports to put our local children on track to thrive at school
increasing our understanding of resourcing allocations in our community and support shared decision making across government, community and other stakeholders
growing data collection across our community to support evidence informed decision making
With the recent announcement of extended Australian Government funding for this work in the Gladstone Region, the ‘Together in Action’ event is a celebration of what has already been achieved and acknowledges the whole-of-community investment for the shared aspiration of thriving futures for our children.

Dr Michelle Lucas will visit Gladstone to share the experience of
‘Logan Together’, a more advanced, place-based initiative that is achieving great outcomes for local children through the collective efforts of community and government embracing place-based, community-led practice.
